What is Fotona 4DTM?
Fotona 4D is a series of synergistic, non-invasive laser treatments of both the exterior face and interior oral cavity, enabling full-thickness contraction of collagen for persistent tightening and volumization (wrinkle reduction) without injectables.
1- SmoothLiftinTM
The first step involves a pain free treatment which targets volume through a process called collagen induction. The effects are an overall improvement of tightness and elasticity of the skin along with a plumping effect, much like a filler.
2- FRAC3®
The second step involves the targeted treatment of specific, deeper imperfections in the skin like spots and vascular components using a fractional laser. This is fast, effective and will help restore youthful texture.
3- PIANO®
The third stage of Fotona 4D involves heating the skin safely and rapidly from the outside in by concentrating energy delivery subcutaneously. This is done using a brushing technique and provides an outstanding tightening effect for areas experiencing skin laxity.
4- SupErficial™
The Final stage is like a polishing effect for your skin. The treatment removes dead skin cells to reveal the brighter, healthier tissue below and provides that noticeable “flow” to your skin.
ACNE TREAMENTS
Acne is thought to be caused by an infection of the skin. Acne is a complex disease with both physical and emotional components. The scars from acne can last a lifetime, not just on the skin but on the emotions as well. Whether you have active acne, cystic acne or residual acne scars, we can help. We provide proven therapies with excellent results.
First, we provide Pharmaceutical grade skin care called SkinCeuticals to nourish your skin and reduce inflammation and irritation.
Next, we use our FOTONA Nd:YAG that is gentle on your skin but kills the bacteria DEAD. Most patients will have a significant improvement in the appearance of the skin within 24 to 72 hours.
For some, the cause is hormone imbalance or problems with hormone metabolism. For others acne is related to limited ability to detoxify. We have programs for all of these underlying causes.
ACNE SCARS
For many, acne scars are more that just pits in the skin. They often are a painful reminder of a socially difficult period in life. Our FOTONA Er:YAG laser is able to gently erase those reminders, layer by layer. They can often be totally removed and in most cases, softened considerably. For most, a single treatment will make acne scars a memory.
ATHLETE’S FOOT
Athlete’s foot is a fungal infection of the skin. We are able to treat these infections without the side effects commonly associated with antifungal medications.
Clear steps laser treatment for fungus (ONYCHOMYCOSIS)
Thick, flaky, yellow, embarrassing toe nails and be caused by a form of nail fungus. The standard treatment for nail fungus is to take a medication that is toxic to the liver for 3 to 6 months or more. As this is not a great option for a problem that is not considered life threatening we can recommend multiple options including quick and easy treatments that require no medication at all.
SKIN RESURFACING
Using our high tech, high precision FOTONA laser systems, we are able to accomplish “Laser Peels” from both a “micro-dermabrasion” level up to a deep dermal peel. The difference between FOTONA laser peels and chemical peels is really all about control and the ability to create tightening to the skin. With the laser we have control of the energy we use, the heat we use and the visual depth we achieve. No guess work is performed with laser treatments. With the laser we are able to deliver the energy needed to achieve the optimal result. We provide better results with very minimal downtime.
Full or Fractional:
Full resurfacing means you treat the whole surface. Fractional means you treat just a “fraction” of the entire surface area. Fractional also goes by the names of Pixel and Partial.
Typically, the fractional treatments are done by dividing the treatment area into small areas and treating between 10 and 50 percent of the area. The reason for doing this is that the skin heals faster with the partial (fractional) treatment. The down side is that you will need multiple treatments to cover the entire surface area.
As an example, if you use 20% coverage you would need to treat about 5 times to get full coverage of the area. When you look at down time (the time needed to heal), you may only have one to 3 days per treatment. But total down time will be for all 5 treatments, as in our example. So it could be 5 to 15 days total.
Generally the down time with standard resurfacing to a deep level (best results) is about 7 to 10 or fewer days. Therefore, if you don’t have time to heal, then a fractional peel is a good idea.
Despite what other companies and clinics may say, you will never achieve the results of a full resurfacing by doing fractional. Whatever your circumstances, we can provide full or fractional resurfacing.
LASER PEEL
Laser peels can remove nearly all fine wrinkles while significantly improving deeper, more dynamic wrinkles. This is achieved by the laser beam that gently vaporizes micron-thin layers of the epidermis; the more superficial layer of the skin. The laser can also thermally affect deeper skin layers to stimulate the production of new collagen in the dermis.
The overall result is that your skin will not only look smoother and younger, it will feel tighter and more supple as well. Unlike traditional treatments, such as dermabrasion and chemical peels, the unique characteristics of lasers means that physicians can precisely control the depth and the extent to which the treatment will work. This means that they can cater the treatment exactly to suite your expectations and the recovery time your can afford.
Depending on the extent of the laser peel, most patients that have undergone the treatment will compare it to having an elastic band snapped across the skin during the treatment and the sensation of having sunburn afterwards. Most people can return to normal daily activities and routines immediately so there’s no need to worry about rescheduling social agendas.
Laser peels will also remove age spots and various aging-related skin lesions, as well as affect the tone of your skin, giving you a credible and natural, rejuvenated look. But of course no therapy can prevent aging and wrinkles re-appearing with time so a maintenance schedule, managed by the physician will keep skin looking young.
ROSACEA TREATMENT
Rosacea is a common but often misunderstood condition that is estimated to affect over 45 million people worldwide. The condition initially presents with flushing and redness centrally on the face, across the cheeks, nose and forehead. Neck, chest, scalp and ears are less commonly affected. As the condition progresses other symptoms can develop such as permanent redness, red bumps (some with pus), red gritty eyes, burning and/or stinging sensations, small blood vessels visible near the skin surface, and in advanced cases a bulbous nose.
Rosacea can be confused, but also co-exist, with acne vulgaris and or seborrheic dermatitis. Fair-skinned people are disproportionately affected. Rosacea affects both men and women of all ages, but middle-aged women are more susceptible because of hot flushes during the menopause.
BENIGN MOLES
Using our FOTONA Er:YAG laser, we are able to remove benign moles like an eraser. We simply pass the laser over the mole until it disappears.
PIGMENT AND AGE SPOTS
Just like an eraser is able to correct mistakes on the page, our FOTONA Er:YAG laser is able to correct age spots and pigments… one layer at a time, with complete control and little or no discomfort. A new you in a few minutes.
CHERRY HEMONGIOMAS
These are the little red spots often seen on the face or body. They are small “tangles” of blood vessels. Generally just one “blink” of our FOTONA Nd:YAG laser is all that is required to remove them.
SUN DAMAGE
Sun damage doesn’t happen over night. It accumulates during our lifetime. At a certain point, the effect of this lifetime of exposure begins to show. To some, they feel it just happened overnight when in reality it had been building for a long time.
It is interesting to note that even in our cars, we are receiving UV rays from the sun. Take a look at your friends; you will notice that they have more damage on the left side of the face. That is, in people who spend significant time driving their car. Long-time passengers will have more damage on the right.
The sun causes “Photo Aging”. Photo aging is the appearance of thickened leathery skin, dark spots and/or wrinkles. A laser peel, or resurfacing, can “wash away” years. In fact, one of our treatments has been called “10 years younger in 10 days” by our patients.
WART REMOVAL
Until now, wart treatments were about burning, cutting, cauterizing and the use of acids. NO MORE. Now we are able to treat even the most resistant warts, anywhere on the body and often in a single treatment. Generally there is no post procedural pain. We have even had basketball players come for a treatment and return to practice right after… try that with other wart treatments.
