WHAT ARE PEELS?
As we age our skin cells loose moisture and collagen production slows down causing the skin’s texture to appear dull and rough. A Chemical Peel is a technique used to improve the appearance of the skin on the face, neck or hands. A chemical solution is applied to the skin which exfoliates and allows for the peeling-off of dead skin cells. The new skin is softer, smoother and more regenerated, fine less and wrinkles appear less predominant and acne inflammation is reduced. The treatment is suitable for skin concerns of acne, pigmentation, melasma, rough texture, and lack of radiance. The new skin is also temporarily more sensitive to the sun, therefore a SPF50+ is recommended every day that the skin is exposed to the sun.

What Can I Expect From The Treatment?
Each client experiences something different but during the treatment you can expect minimal to mild discomfort in the form of a tingling sensation on the skin. Immediately following the treatment, you may experience some redness and a sun burn like sensation. The redness generally will subside between 1-2 days and skin peeling may occur from 3-5 days prior to the peel. It is best to avoid direct sun for a few days following treatment and to apply sun screen at all times while outdoors. Makeup can be applied one day prior to treatments.
